Intercultural Summer School Berlin 2008
An interdisciplinary conference on migration, integration, and diversity in Germany
August 18 - September 1
The Deutsche Gesellschaft e.V. (German Society) organizes more than 250 annual events and is one of Germany?s largest non-governmental organizations in the field of cultural, political, and European education. Since 2007 it has hosted an intercultural summer academy funded by the Transatlantic Program of the European Recovery Fund and the Robert Bosch Foundation.
This year?s summer academy will trace intercultural developments in Germany and Europe in comparison to the United States in collaboration with the Heinrich B?Foundation, the Werkstatt der Kulturen, several leading multinational enterprises, as well as the universities of Berlin, Potsdam, and Mainz. We are currently recruiting American college students and recent graduates in fields such as Germanic studies, politics, business, education, culture, and media as participants.

>> For college students, recent graduates, and journalists from the United States and Europe

>> Participation fee of $750 covers flight to Berlin, accommodation, meals, cultural visits, excursion to Munich, and optional participation in the subsequent conference Governance of Migration
