People to People International offers young people between 14-18 full scholarship to participate in PTPI’s Global Youth Forum in Denver, USA

Event description: At PTPI’s Global Youth Forum, young achievers from around the world explore various perspectives and skills while also experiencing an exciting new group of diverse people and cultures.
A variety of dynamic speakers, interactive workshops and rewarding activities highlight this unique youth conference, which is devoted to key components of the PTPI mission: international understanding, education, leadership and humanitarianism. Delegates will also experience the charm and culture of the host city, which changes with every annual event.

Highlights:

  • a key-note address and intimate break-out session presented by PTPI’s President and CEO, Mary Jean Eisenhower
  • and interactive student panel, featuring your peers from across the globe
  • an address by Deepa Willingham, who studied under Mother Theresa in India and currently administers PACE Universal
  • hands-on humanitarian activities throughout the Denver Metro Area
  • an opportunity to reunite with old friends and make new ones from around the world

Date: November 12-16, 2008

Target group: Applicants should fulfill the following criterias:

  • 14-18 years of age during the time of the conference (middle and high school students only)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High degree of fluency in the English language
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
  • Knowledge of world affairs
  • Active within their community
  • Commitment to and belief in the mission of People to People International

Working language: English

Price: Students selected to sit on the panel will receive a full tuition scholarship that will cover their lodging, food and activities beginning November 12 and ending November 16. The scholarship will also include the price of round trip airfare between the students’ hometown and Denver International Airport (DIA).
Costs of visas, Unaccompanied Minor fees of passport fees are not included.
